2010 Annual Technical Conference
Midwest Section - Air & Waste Management Association
Wednesday, January 20th, 2010
Holiday Inn, Country Club Plaza, Kansas City, MO
There are a few changes in this year's format.
» We are partnering with local US Green Building Chapter, who is offering continuing educational credits for their sessions.
» We will have a key note speaker, Bob Berkebile, one of the founders of USGBC, who is nationally recognized for his contributions to the LEED movement and recipient of the Heinz Family Foundation Award, recognizing his achievements.
» Our lunch speaker will share tools and techniques for Networking for Success.
This is our opportunity to listen and question the Administrator and Directors of EPA Region 7, Kansas Department of Health and Environment and Missouri Department of Natural Resources. Two of the three agencies have confirmed their participation in the morning session. The afternoon sessions will cover Air Quality, Climate Change, Enforcement initiatives, Sustainable Energy, Recycling, and Sustainable Architecture.
If you need Professional Development Hours, 7.2 can be earned at the conference.
This is still one of the best conference bargains. Cost for AWMA and USGBC members is $50.00 and Guest cost is $75.00. Group rates are offered and new member AWMA dues/conference package is available. The conference cost includes lunch and a two drink tickets.
We have a small block of rooms available at $105 per night, plus tax. Call the Holiday Inn at (816) 753-7400 to make your reservation, by January 6.
Free Parking is provided in the underground lot at the hotel.
Space is limited to 100 attendees - your payment confirms your reservation.
